New America

New America’s New Models of Policy Change Initiative works at the intersection of politics and international affairs to identify outdated policy paradigms and promote creative thinking about how policy change happens, who makes policy, and what U.S. international policy can—or should—be. Led by Heather Hurlburt, the Initiative makes a particular point of lifting up the intersections between better policy outcomes and a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion in policymaking and analysis. The New Models of Policy Change Initiative is part of New America’s Political Reform program, dedicated to renewing America by continuing the quest to realize our nation’s highest ideals, honestly confronting the challenges caused by rapid technological and social change, and seizing the opportunities those changes create.
