Movement Generation
Movement Generation Justice & Ecology Project (MG) inspires and engages in transformative action towards the liberation and restoration of land, labor, and culture. MG is rooted in vibrant social movements led by low-income communities and communities of color committed to a Just Transition away from profit and pollution and towards healthy, resilient and life-affirming local economies. Its team conducts political education, facilitates strategy sessions, disseminates curriculum and tools, and shifts narrative towards a Just Transition from extractive to regenerative economy. MG is bridging the gap between our current social movement strategies and the scale of the emerging ecological crisis. Through political education and strategy frameworks, cultural strategy, and movement building, MG supports movements in harnessing the shocks and directing the slides towards the shifts needed for economic transformation.
