Our goal is that your references will give us a broad range of perspectives on the ways in which you work and the effectiveness of your work. Possible references might include a funder, a colleague working on similar issues at a different nonprofit, a community partner, a legislator or legislative staffer, an agency staffer, a person who will be affected by your proposed project, a person who represents a key audience for your proposed project, or any other partner in your work. Please send at least three entirely new references with each application if you apply in two or more successive years.
